How to Know If You Should Get Tested for COVID-19 Antibodies

If you exhibited COVID-19 symptoms in the past but are unsure that you had coronavirus or if you have long-term symptoms, getting an antibody test might be right for you.

COVID-19 symptoms outlined by the CDC, include:

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is a vaccine that may prevent you from getting COVID-19. There is no U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved vaccine to prevent COVID-19. It is your choice to receive the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine may not protect everyone. The Moderna vaccine is recommended for people aged 18 years and older.

How to Prepare for the Vaccine 

Before receiving the vaccine, here are a few helpful tips:  

  • Arrive a few minutes early to avoid missing your appointment 
  • Bring a mask to wear the entire time 
  • Wear short sleeves or a loose-fitting shirt  

If you begin experiencing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 prior to receiving the vaccine, please cancel your appointment. Once you have recovered/completed the required isolation period, or if you have gone 14 days from the date of exposure without showing symptoms, you may reschedule.  

 

What to Expect After Receiving the Vaccine 

After receiving each dose, we will ask you to wait 15-20 minutes for monitoring purposes.  

Possible side effects of the Moderna vaccine include: 

  • Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site 
  • Fatigue 
  • Headache 
  • Muscle pain 
  • Fever and/or chills 
  • Nausea  

*The COVID-19 vaccine is only available for Florida residents with proof of ID.
